A Whole SChOol ApproaCh for DemocraTIc EmpOwermeNt in Primary Schools
coACTION is an international project that develops processes and methods to introduce democratic measures in our primary schools and to involve the whole school community, from management and teachers to pupils, parents and the whole school environment.
The project is conceived as a joint activity of independent and public schools with the aim of exchanging knowledge, expertise, experience and best practices of cutting-edge, interdisciplinary and competency-oriented teaching and learning methods, as well as the use of quality assurance models in both sectors.
The project supports the implementation of democratic processes in primary schools, which not only sensitizes the people involved to the importance of social and cultural factors in our daily coexistence, but also gives them the opportunity to gain practical experience in the application of democratic methods.
Become part of the coACTION community and help create more democratic, inclusive, and participatory school environments across Europe.
Whether you are a teacher, school leader, organisation, parent, or education professional, there are many ways to get involved.
Explore innovative tools, access practical resources through our online platform, participate in project activities, and collaborate with a growing European network committed to active citizenship, shared decision-making, and learner-centred education.
Together, we can empower school communities to make democracy a lived experience in everyday education.
