A Whole SChOol ApproaCh for DemocraTIc EmpOwermeNt in Primary Schools
Die Hauptziele des coACTION-Projekts sind die aktive Beteiligung aller Mitglieder der Bildungsgemeinschaft am demokratischen Schulleben zu fördern, Lehrkräfte in die Lage zu versetzen, Lernende bei der Entwicklung von Schlüsselkompetenzen für aktive Bürgerschaft und lebenslanges Lernen anzuleiten und SchulleiterInnen und LehrerInnen zu befähigen, das Qualitätsmanagementsystem der Schule zu nutzen, um die demokratische Bildung zu stärken und den gesamtschulischen Ansatz umzusetzen.
Um diese Ziele zu erreichen, werden die Projektpartner Fragebögen bezüglich der demokratischen Kultur der Schule für die gesamte Schulgemeinschaft (Schulleitung, Lehrende, Lernende, Eltern) entwickeln, um die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse zu definieren und kontinuierlich zu aktualisieren.
Eine interaktive Online-Plattform mit Werkzeugen und Methoden wird dazu dienen, demokratische Verfahren in den Schulalltag zu integrieren und im Qualitätsmanagementsystem zu verankern. In einem Pilotprojekt werden 10 ausgewählte Schulen die Möglichkeit haben, Unterstützung für eine nachhaltige demokratische Schulentwicklung zu erhalten.

Dr. Brigitta Rupp graduated from the Vienna University of Economics. After working in HR for international corporations, she has been active in adult education and accompanies companies and individuals as coach in change processes. In addition, she supports independent schools in school management and development.
Dr. Mariano Sanz Prieto is a Telecommunications Engineer and has significant experience working on educational technology. He has worked in several international and national projects in these areas since 1989 and is an expert in eLearning and ICT for education
Nancy is the R&D Director of PARAGON-eduTech, a researcher, educator, and project manager with 25+ years of experience in educational technology, e-learning, and inclusion. She has led EU-funded projects on gamification and digital pedagogy and advised the Hellenic Parliament on education policy.
Graduate in Primary and Early Childhood Education with a Master’s in ICT for Education and Training, Rubén specializes in generative AI and design trends. He creates visual solutions that enhance both learning and communication, blending aesthetics with pedagogy to deliver innovative and impactful educational content.
George, an engineer and educator, has over 20 years of experience in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), focusing on reducing educational inequalities in rural areas. He has contributed to Comenius, Erasmus+, and Horizon 2020 projects and holds a Research Integrity certification from Oxford University.
Ida Waller brings in her professional quality management qualification to the coACTION project. She currently works as a QM responsible and supports Austrian independent schools in internal and external communication, having a special eye on the interlink of school / parents / public. Ida is an expert with regard to the whole school approach.
Telecommunications Engineer with experience as a lecturer and Technical Coordinator at Telefónica Soluciones. He focuses on applying ICT to education and specializes in the installation, development, and support of LMS platforms, working with major clients like the Autonomous University of Madrid and Telefónica.
Nuria de Pablo Sánchez is a Graduate in Journalism and Humanities from the Carlos III University of Madrid. Master in Interdisciplinary Intervention in Violence against women with a diploma as an Equality Agent from the International University of Valencia.
Dr. Gema de Pablo González is a psychologist and holds a PhD in education from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She is an associate lecturer in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the UAM. Expert in psychotherapeutic intervention in gender violence. Participates in several Erasmus+ research projects.
Georgios is an electrical engineer (Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, ASPAITE) with experience in military service (Hellenic Navy) and EU-funded educational research (PARAGON-eduTech). Skilled in digital tools, communication, and project management, he contributes to Erasmus+ projects. Published on eLearning platforms, he volunteers at academic conferences, showcasing adaptability and professionalism.
Despina is an undergraduate student in Pedagogy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Research Assistant at PARAGON-eduTech. She contributes to Erasmus+ projects on digital literacy and inclusivity and serves as Conference Secretariat for ICICTE. She also actively leverages social media for educational outreach.
