coACTION Partners Meet in Rhodes for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting

coACTION: Working Together to Empower Democratic Schools Across Europe.

On 13 July 2026, the partners of the coACTION, A Whole School Approach for Democratic Empowerment in Primary Schools project gathered in Rhodes, Greece, for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM3), hosted by PARAGON-eduTech at the Mediterranean Hotel. The meeting marked an important milestone as the consortium reviewed the project's progress and coordinated the final phase of implementation.

The meeting began with a comprehensive review of project management and overall progress, including quality assurance, green practices, risk assessment, and impact evaluation. Partners assessed the achievement of key milestones, the status of project deliverables, and the remaining activities required to successfully complete the project.

A major focus of the meeting was Work Package 4: Whole School Democratic Empowerment. The consortium reviewed the results of the "Year of Democracy" pilot implementation across participating countries, discussing its impact on schools, lessons learned, and examples of good practice. Partners also evaluated the coaching and support activities carried out during the implementation process and reviewed the progress of the Validation Report, including interviews, expert reviews, preliminary findings, and the responsibilities and timeline for its completion.

The partners then carried out a final review of the project's main deliverables, including the Sensor, the Treasury of GEMs, the Guide, and the "Year of Democracy" resources. Through collaborative discussions, the consortium identified any remaining refinements, confirmed the completion status of each output, and agreed on a final action plan outlining responsibilities, deadlines, and commitments for the last stage of the project.

During the afternoon sessions, the consortium assessed the project's dissemination and outreach activities, reviewing multiplier events, newsletters, website updates, social media actions, and stakeholder engagement. Partners also finalised preparations for the coACTION Final International Conference, ensuring the effective presentation and dissemination of the project's results. Sustainability and exploitation strategies were discussed to maximise the long-term impact of the project's outcomes beyond the Erasmus+ funding period.

The meeting concluded with a review of administrative, financial, and final reporting requirements, followed by the confirmation of the agreed action plan, partner responsibilities, and project timeline. Once again, the TPM3 highlighted the strong collaboration among the consortium partners and their shared commitment to promoting democratic values, active participation, and whole-school empowerment across Europe.
